Please note that complimentary products are not automatically provided simply for joining the program. Products may occasionally be provided for campaigns, new product launches or outstanding ambassador performance.
Getting Started
Getting started is easy.
Step 1
Log into your Affiliatly Ambassador Dashboard.
There you'll find your referral link and be able to monitor clicks, sales and commissions.
Step 2
Save your personal referral link.
Whenever possible, use your personal affiliate link when recommending Cottonwood Soap Company.
Step 3
Learn your discount code.
Your customers receive 10% off their first order when they use your code during checkout.
Step 4
Choose products you've actually used.
The most successful ambassadors recommend products they genuinely enjoy.
Personal experiences build trust.
Step 5
Begin sharing.
Whether it's social media, conversations with friends, email newsletters, vacation rentals or local networking, authenticity always performs better than aggressive selling.
How Commissions Work
You earn 15% commission on qualifying merchandise purchases generated through your referral link or discount code.
Commissions are calculated after customer discounts have been applied.
Commission is not paid on:
• Shipping charges
• Sales tax
• Gift cards
• Returned merchandise
• Cancelled orders
• Fraudulent orders
• Self-referrals
• Orders placed using your own discount code
Payments
Commissions are paid:
• Monthly
• Through PayPal
• By the 15th of the following month
• After a 30-day waiting period
A minimum balance of $50 is required before payment is issued.
Balances below $50 automatically roll forward to the next payment period.
Using Your Referral Link
Every ambassador receives a unique referral link.
Whenever someone shops using your link, Affiliatly records the referral.
Customers remain associated with your referral for up to 90 days after clicking your link.
Always use your personal referral link whenever possible.
Using Your Discount Code
Your customers receive:
10% Off Their Purchase
Your discount code should only be shared by you.
Please do not:
• Submit your code to coupon websites
• Share your code through discount forums
• Advertise your code as a permanent sale
The discount code is intended to reward customers who were personally referred by you.
FTC Disclosure Requirements
Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines require affiliate relationships to be disclosed clearly whenever you may receive compensation.
Acceptable examples include:

When do I get paid?
Monthly, once your approved commission balance reaches $50.
How do I check my commissions?
Log into your Affiliatly dashboard.
Can I change my discount code?
Possibly.
Please contact us if you'd like to request a different code.
Can I earn commission on my own purchases?
No.
Self-referrals are not eligible.
Can I post my code on RetailMeNot or coupon websites?
No.
Doing so may result in removal from the program.
Can I run Facebook or Google Ads?
Not without written permission from Cottonwood Soap Company.
What if a customer forgets my code?
If they used your referral link, Affiliatly will often still credit the referral.
If neither your link nor code was used, unfortunately we cannot manually assign commissions after the purchase has been completed.
Do I have to post every week?
No.
We encourage consistent participation but value authentic recommendations over frequent promotional posts.
Will I receive free products?
Not automatically.
Occasionally we provide products for launches, campaigns or ambassador recognition.
Can I recommend products I haven't personally tried?
We strongly encourage recommending products you've personally used whenever possible.
Authentic recommendations build trust.
Program Terms & Conditions
Participation in the Cottonwood Soap Coastal Ambassador Program constitutes acceptance of the following terms.
Cottonwood Soap Company reserves the right to approve or decline any ambassador application.
Participation does not create an employment relationship.
Commissions are earned only on qualifying completed purchases that are properly tracked through the ambassador's referral link or discount code.
Commissions are not earned on:
• Shipping
• Taxes
• Gift cards
• Refunds
• Cancelled orders
• Fraudulent transactions
• Self-referrals
Cottonwood Soap Company reserves the right to reverse commissions associated with refunded or fraudulent transactions.
Ambassadors agree to comply with all FTC disclosure requirements.
Cottonwood Soap Company reserves the right to modify commission rates, promotional offers, program benefits or program terms at any time.
The company may suspend or terminate participation for:
• Misleading advertising
• Failure to disclose affiliate relationships
• Coupon abuse
• Posting codes to coupon websites
• Brand-damaging conduct
• Fraudulent activity
• Trademark misuse
• Violation of these Terms
Cottonwood Soap Company retains ownership of all trademarks, logos, photography and marketing materials.
Permission to use company assets may be revoked at any time.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.
